Holistic, Integrative Therapy Services in Belleville IL

My Clinical Framework
Brandy Murray, LCSW, religious trauma specialist in Belleville, IL

From our first session, we’ll focus on building trust and clarity around what you want from this process. As a clinician, I utilize an eclectic clinical framework, blending psychodynamic theory, somatic psychology, polyvagal theory, and transpersonal psychology, among others- as I am always eager to learn and understand psychology and social work from a multi-faceted lens.

This allows us to tailor your treatment to fit your needs and personality.

I will always strive to be attuned to your needs, whether you need someone to hold space for the tears or someone to laugh with. I will provide structure when you need it and flexibility when you don't. And through it all, you’ll be met with curiosity and empathy each step of the way.

WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID:

"Working with Brandy has been truly life changing. She guided me through a transformation bigger than I could have imagined. It wasn’t always easy, at times it was hard and even scary, but I always knew I wasn’t alone. She met me with deep respect, honoring who I am at my core and helping me reconnect with a true self I didn’t even know was there, but somehow remembered along the way. Brandy is incredible: supportive, trustworthy, and steady every step of the way. Part of my plan used EMDR, and the impact has been profound. It helped me release old pain, shift the way I see myself, and finally feel lighter, more empowered, and at peace."

CARE WITHOUT INSURANCE CONSTRAINTS

Private Pay Trauma & Anxiety Therapy in the Metro-East St. Louis Region

* Out-of-Network options are also available.

I don't think therapy is meant to be centered around your insurance company.

After billing insurance for the first two years of my practice, I've gained some wisdom. This experience has moved me to operate as a private-pay practice (and out of network provider) so I can offer services that aren't dictated by insurance company rules. Most insurance companies set requirements for diagnosis, session length, as well as intervention methods that they agree with. The issue with this is that therapists are limited on the type of care they can provide, which can limit your growth and progress. As a provider who puts the needs of my clients first and foremost, I believe that ethically-minded, licensed clinicians should be the professionals prescribing treatment modalities- not insurance companies.

By operating as a private-pay practice, this allows us the freedom to focus on what treatment methods will actually help you heal, rather than insurance-approved, cookie-cutter treatment planning.

Being out-of-network provides a way for us to choose modalities like EMDR, walk and talk therapy, integrative therapies such as mindfulness practices and art-based work, or family therapy based on what treatment will actually support your therapeutic goals.

If you feel I could be the best fit for you, and are not sure about the cost, consider looking into your out-of-network benefits as this may offset some of the financial burden. To find out if you have out-of-network benefits which vary by plan, follow the instructions below.
